A true nightmare from start to finish. Little to no career advancement, giant workload, terrible entitled customers, and upper management that is provided with zero tools to further your own personal career. Store and district managers are hyperfocused on their own successes, and anything you do that would be otherwise recognized in a different work environment they take credit for. Every store is incredibly gossipy and drama filled, and floor supervisors (part time management) is usually 18-20 years old and has absolutely no idea how to manage a team, reconcile store issues, or communicate professionally. I was completely miserable here my entire employment with Vans, and the general consensus from my team was that they were too, they just enjoyed the job security. The only good thing I can think of was they paid me fairly, and the opportunity to earn 70% all merchandise for the month. That's a wrap, don't waste your time unless you get hired in as a store manager and have strong leadership skills to pick up the pieces from the former god-awful management team. Good luck out there.
